FACE & HAND PAINTING AT OFFICIAL OPENING OF MY PLAY ROOM

The guests at the official opening of My Play Room were delightfully surprised by the presence of the Amazing Race duo – Ida Nerina & Tania. The duo were invited to launch the opening of this play centre. The Play Room was decorated with colourful balloons and Animal Mascots doing the walkabout afforded the children photo taking opportunities. The little ones sat waiting for their turn so that they could get their body art: popular choices were the Butterfly, Scorpions, Flowers, Dragon, Christmas designs, etc. Marshmallow & fruits dipped in a chocolate fountain tempted guests to have a nibble. Kudos to the centre & the organizers for a successful launch.

FACE PAINTING & HENNA AT SSMH CARNIVAL FUNDRAISER in November 2008

There was Food stalls aplenty to satiate the visitors to this fundraiser, Lucky draws with hotel stays, party vouchers, etc to be won. Adults & children queued up for the Henna & Face & Hand Painting. It was heart warming to see so many volunteers devoting their time & effort for a charitable cause… & the visitors who came to lend their support to the event.

Face Painting for Victoria’s Birthday Bash at The Westin

Face Painting & a clown helped keep Victoria’s birthday guests entertained. A buffet lunch was spread out for the guests as a walkabout clown kept the children happy. Prizes were handed out after an exciting games session. Only photos of her birthday guests are featured here.

Of Superheroes & Princesses- Josie’s Birthday Party

Josie’s Superheroes & Princess birthday party saw Batmen, Cinderella, Spidermen, princesses, a couple of alluring Catwomen (swishing their long tails), little Witches (in conjunction with Halloween) waiting to surprise the birthday girl after her ballet class.
After a birthday song, guests took a dip in the pool & later enjoyed a delicious lunch & finger food. Fairy, Pirate, Cartoon characters, Floral & Animal Tattos were brought out for this themed event.
*** Waterproof Body/Face Paint ( suitable for children & adults) can be requested for events which involve water activities.

A Birthday Party @ Kizsports for Faliq

A birthday party at Kizsports. Ameera & Athisha decided to get their faces painted. There was also a glittery Tiger roaming about the party. The birthday boy was too shy to sit for a painting but his guests enjoyed Scorpion, Floral & Love designs. The young ladies also waited eagerly for the children to finish their turn before getting in queue to be transformed to Snow Queens & Nature Girls.

Body Art for a Telco TV Commercial

Didn't think i'd be involved in a project like this. Yes, this was a challenge, but the crew did remark that it looked real. However, the organisers did want it to look like body art so some white lines were added. The painting took about 2 & a half hours since some amendments were needed but got about 2 seconds of airtime in the commercial. Blink & you might miss it :)This shoot was done in August & the commercial was aired last month.

EXPAT EXPO - Henna for visitors

The Expat Expo was held at the KL Convention Centre. Traditional Henna (Moroccan designs of course!) & stick-on shimmer Henna Tattoos were offered to customers who visited the Hammam massage booth which was beautifully decorated with colourful swaths of silk. Visitors were attracted to the booth by the fragrance of Jasmine blooms and lingered to book an indulgent, luxurious Hammam & Gommage at the spa.

GLITTER TATTOO for Birthday Parties, Annual Dinners & Launches

Just a sample Photo of what Glitter Tattoo looks like. Traditional Glitter Tattoo is done using stencil, Japanese (imported) glue is applied, then fine Body Glitter is sprinkled over. Takes about a minute to be done.

Face Painting for a Birthday Party

There were inflatables at this Garden Party to keep the children happy & occupied. Henna tattoo or Mehendi was also offered to the ladies at this party. A Japanese lady gamely decided to have her hands Hennaed after getting to know this was a more traditional form of body art. After singing a Happy Birthday to Amber, the little ones tried their hand at batting the Pinata to get to the goodies inside. It was no mean feat as it had been layered with (overheard) with six layers of newspapers!

FACE PAINTING & GLITTER TATTOO

Riding For Disabled Association Malaysia recently invited children from various Homes to enjoy a day of fun activities, Games & lunch. Children also enjoyed Pony rides which they eagerly stood in queue for after getting their face & hands painted. Glitter Tattoos were also available.

INAI & Preparations For A Malay Wedding

Relatives gathered to prepare for the wedding and it was heartening to see such close camaraderie among them. As Jojie's hands were being hennaed, makciks were dispensing advice on family matters. In between waiting for her henna to dry, her family members: sisters, the boys & Groom (ok they went for the Tribal & Scorpion designs) & yes, even the sporting makciks took turns to have either their palms or arms hennaed.

The Expat Party – 14 June 2008

An event by The Expat Group. It looked like we had stepped back in time, into the swinging Sixties as flamboyant fashions were flaunted by women & men alike.
The ladies showed that they still had Flower Power and bold chunky accessories,hippy beads and bouffant hairdos dominated the night. Austin Powers would have agreed it was a smashing party, oops, he did make an appearance that night!

There was henna, body art and belly dancing sponsored by the Hammam and a lingerie fashion show that enthralled guests. After guests grooved to the music on the dance floor, a delicious buffet dinner by Jarrod & Rawlins awaited.
It was a delightful blast from the past indeed.

Guests invited to the official launch of the new Audi A4 at the Audi Hangar in Glenmarie
had the opportunity to explore the car of the future. The showcase of the cars displayed had pressmen clicking away, ready to capture photos of the all new sporty & elegantly designed Audi A4. Models cum waiters were sporting body art, some reflecting the colours of the Audi A4. Hype was congratulated on a successful event well organized.

This poolside Fashion + Craft Bazaar had visitors and fashionistas shopping & browsing through vintage clothing & accessories, knick knacks, crafts & bags.
There was also a food & beverage bar. Music lovers were also in for a treat – they eagerly awaited a performance by Koko Kaina.

Visitors were also delighted to get their Henna Tattoo (traditional & contemporary designs- phoenix, tribal) & the children opted to get their faces painted (Nature Girl, Batman).

Merle Throws a Surprise Birthday Party for Arjuna

The venue? Khaana Peena - where a delicious & sumptuous buffet dinner (North Indian cuisine) was prepared. Friends awaited Arjuna's arrival with excitement as the birthday boy was supposed to be clueless about this surprise party. Balloons lent a festive air to the night's celebrations. Friends gave a cheer and warm greetings when Arjuna made his entrance. Guests waited their turn for Body Art & Tattoos. After dinner, guests enjoyed a belly dance performance as the sultry beauty whirled, shimmied and entranced the audience.

Arjuna & friends wera also coaxed into learning some dance moves. Guests would remember it as a night of many delightful surprises indeed.
