Face Painting for Staff & Makeup for Dancers - IRIS Blockbuster Nite

Makeup for dancers was requested, face crystals & Glitter Tattoo for hands were also applied to complete the look. Dancers requested for an Arabian/ Egyptian look . As for Princess Fiona, she just wanted to look different from the others & went totally eco-green. It was a blast from the past as staff of IRIS came dressed as Greek godesses, Romans, Egyptians & Moulin Rouge inspired costumes. There were also movie & cartoon characters walking about, as if we were on a movie set: Jedi masters, robots, a gorilla, Batgirl, Cinderella, Amidala/Warrior Queen? Many came to get their Glitter Tattoo (yes, everyone was truly blinged out that night) & some wanted full face painting as evidenced by these photos. * Face cream is applied before professional Face Paints from Australia are used. The Dinner & Dance was enjoyed by all & the theme Blockbuster Nite certainly brought out the actor/actress in every guest who came in their best costumes that night.

HENNA for Concessionaires Conference 2009 at Pan Pacific

Malaysia Airports Concessionaires Conference 2009 Appreciation Dinner was held on 3 Dec 2009 at Pan Pacific Hotel. Guests had just attended a conference, therefore, while awaiting dinner, some activity booths were set up to entertain them. There was a Henna & Tattoo booth & also a Caricature booth. Organisers encouraged Retailers/ Concessionaires to provide good service to visitors so that they would enjoy their shopping experience & wished them a successful 2010.
A feast of local dishes & delicacies won the approval of guests. There was a spread of chicken curry & roti jala, pasembor Pulau Pinang, sup soto ayam, mee rebus, ais kacang, cendol & Malay kuih. Guests were delighted to return with their Henna or Tattoo & also a goodie bag.

Masquerade Night - TM Asia Life Annual Dinner

TM Asia Life held a Masquerade Night for their staff recently at Sunway Resort Hotel. Some guests came dressed up in costumes & feathered masks. Others decided to opt for a bit of Makeup, Face painting or Tattoos at one of the 3 Body Art booths. Face Painting designs included: Sorceress, Phoenix, Madame Butterfly, Geisha, Captain Jack Sparrow, Warrior, the Phantom, Pirate, Tribal design, Swirls, Witch. There were dance performances to entertain guests while dinner was served.

Halloween Night 30 Oct '09

Oops, missed this entry ; which was an event in October. Elyna held a Halloween Night for family & friends & there was a lady (who looked like a Klingon) who ensured everybody was in costume & intoned i was not in costume & therefore denied entry. Check out the Angel with red wings! Little Trick or Treaters came for their spooky Dracula & Midnite Makeup. Some adults just came for eyeshadow, blusher & face crystals. Halloween Tattoos were also offered. The 2 Hantus at the Labu (Ghosties posing at the Pumpkin) mingled with guests as Death with their flowing black capes. Skeletons, pumpkins, red lights & Casper's buddies set the mood for the night in the haunted house.

Arabian Nights - Henna & Glitter

To celebrate Siti Ayesha & Siti Hajer's birthday, an Arabian Night themed party was planned. A Sultan's palace greeted & delighted guests with it's flowing rainbow drapes, lamps lighting the way, tables set on rugs & luxurious cushions for diners (as if we had just entered a Bedouin tent). The cuisine was Middle Eastern inspired - there was kebab, salads, rolls, pastries, but children were also treated to popcorn, ice-cream & a 5-tiered Princess Jasmine cake.
Children awaited their Face Painting & Glitter Tattoo at the Body Art corner. Teens & adults had a variety of Morroccan inspired Henna Designs to choose from.
Lucky guests went home with an Aladdin's wishing lamp, candies & more in their goodie bag (lamp)
The kids will surely be requesting to return to this "Palace" :)

Halloween Face Painting

So many opted to go for the vampire / Count Dracula look, that i wondered, had we been on a diet of too much True Blood/ Twilight/ Thriller? Ok, to all fans of the Fanged Kind, enjoy the photos. The choices on the menu: Frankenstein, The Hulk, The Phantom, Dark Warrior, Witch, Sorceress, Lady Midnite, Phoenix, Mephistopheles, Catwoman, Accident Victim, Thorn Mask, Pink Kitten, Pale Geisha. Makeup for BCBG Maxazria's Style Mavens Oct 2009

In conjunction with BCBG Maxazria's 20th Anniversary celebrations, the BCBG Maxazria boutique at 1 Utama feted guests with a fashion parade by 5 style mavens. Touch-up makeup was requested for the mavens but full makeup was also provided when some mavens came fresh faced. Makeup was kept to natural tones. Celeb stylist Wee Chee shared tips with guests on how the dresses could accentuate their best features and also showed some of his favourite items & accessories in the boutique. One-shoulder dresses, ruffles, ruched & embellished tops & dresses were featured & admired (or should i say desired & coveted?) in this Fall/Winter 2009 collection. A one-shoulder red dress with rosette detail caught the eye... Sponsors at this event included ZO Skin Health (where attendees could get their hands pampered or check out their skincare products) & Style magazine. The style mavens were given a special goodie bag as a token of appreciation for showcasing the latest trends of the season. Guests to the event were delightfully surprised with a goodie bag which contained discount vouchers courtesy of ZO Skin Health, a beautiful compact mirror from BCBG, a Dome Cafe coupon & Style magazine.

A Mermaid Birthday Party for Elyca

"Princess" Elyca celebrated her 5th birthday party in style. Blue & white helium filled balloons kept the little ones requesting for more. There was even a Treasure Corner for Princess Ariel complete with fish nets. There were fun games to play, prizes to win, Best Dressed Girl & Boy, party poppers & delicious finger food, even starfish shaped chicken nuggets were spotted. A purple whale & mermaid anagram were swimming about in the air much to the delight of the little guests. A Mermaid Barbie Cake had the kids waiting to get a piece of the sweet confection.

Face Painting & Henna Tattoo - Adam's Birthday

For Adam's birthday, his mum requested for Face Painting & Inai/Henna Tattoo for her guests. Children & adults alike had fun with their body art designs. The spread of local fare like mee rebus, beef rendang curry, ulam (vegetables) with special fragrant spiced rice, ais kacang whetted guests appetites. Thanks for the invitation to this event & for the delicious meal.

Face & Hand Painting at MATTA FAIR Sept 2009

The South Africa High Commission had an interesting exhibitor's booth at the recent Matta Fair to promote South Africa & the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. Flyers & brochures on South Africa were given to interested visitors. A Sony Playstation (to play football matches) & a Foosball table afforded gamers a chance to win some mystery gifts. After some Face & Hand Painting, visitors to this booth had photo opportunities taken with the official World Cup mascot-Zakumi. A visitor was overheard praising this particular booth as it offered many exciting activities to enjoy.
